the artist & vision

My name is Emily and I’m the creator of Venus Highway, a self-taught mixed media artist based in Northern Nevada.

A lifelong daydreamer, I’ve always been drawn to the worlds we create within ourselves. Venus Highway was birthed out of the desire to give that world somewhere to exist beyond just the imagination.

In Greek mythology, Venus embodies love, beauty, desire and creativity. Venus becomes the bridge between what we imagine and what we bring into existence.

Venus Highway represents the journey of self-discovery through art, beauty and creativity. It’s a liminal dreamscape where memory, emotion and imagination meet.

A hidden oasis of wonder and beauty awaits along the Venus Highway for the wanderer who dares to dream.
